Hypnosis for Panic Attacks – It Can Stop Them for Good
If you have ever experienced a panic attack, you are not alone, and you know just how terrifying it is. Thanks to that feeling of helplessness and that feeling of pure fear, panic attacks can take over your entire life. Make no mistake – when you suffer from these attacks, you are a victim of panic disorder. When you have panic disorder, the basic fear of having another attack can be paralyzing in and of itself.
So what’s the best way to these attacks?
With hypnosis for panic disorders!
You may know what’s bothering you and causing your attacks – like a specific phobia; but you just can’t stop it. Whether you know exactly what’s causing the problem or not, hypnosis for panic attacks can help.
How?
Hypnosis focuses on your subconscious mind, and your subconscious is where most of your thoughts and actions stem from. By getting your subconscious under control, you can eliminate your attacks. But unless you address the problem in your subconscious, your panic attacks will likely never go away for good.
When you work to these attacks with hypnosis, you will start by identifying the underlying problem. For example, is something in your past to blame for your current condition? Even if you know that you have a specific phobia that triggers your panic attacks, you need to know where that phobia is coming from – and why it’s playing such a big role in your subconscious mind.
Once you know what’s causing your attacks, you can work to combat it. If, for example, you determine that your attacks started when you got your driver’s license and only happen when you are behind the wheel, you can work to train your subconscious not to be so scared of driving.
How exactly do you do that?
You and your consulting hypnotist may work to show your subconscious that driving may be risky, but as long as you’re careful, there’s no reason to panic every time you get behind the wheel. Sure, plenty of people die from car accidents every day, but your subconscious’ reaction to that fact is completely irrational.
You may also use visualization techniques. By picturing yourself getting into the car, backing out of the driveway, pulling into traffic, and driving to the grocery store and back without incident, you can show your subconscious that you’re able to get yourself around town without incident.
Why doesn’t traditional counseling typically work? Why should you try hypnosis for panic attacks?
In traditional counseling, you work on “accepting” things. Having attacks isn’t something that you need to “accept”; it’s something that you need to stop. Discussing your problem with a traditional therapist, will not likely make it go away. You need less talk and more action.
In just a few sessions, hypnosis for panic disorders, can help you can put an end to your suffering for good!

Fear of Germs Hypnosis
Mysophobia hypnosis has emerged as the best cure for the fear of germs, or mysophobia. The diagnosis of the pathological fear of germs began with Dr. William Alexander Hammond in 1879. One of his patients who had an obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) kept washing his hands. It turns out that the patient saw germs everywhere and the concept of mysophobia was born.
Also referred to as germaphobia, mysophobia has other designations as well. There is also bacillophobia and bacteriophobia. The bottom line is that all of these refer to a fear of germs. As well as the fear of germs, there is also the fear of dirt. Fear of germs hypnosis has been proven to be quite successful in treating this disorder. OCD is a complex condition and it is easy to incorrectly assume that a compulsive need to wash the hands and mysophobia are one and the same.
There is a distinct difference that needs to be addressed. It is important to make the distinction between hand washing to deal with germs and a compulsive need to wash your hands. There are different levels and forms of “dirt” ranging from literal dirt to bacteria, bacilli, and germs. People with OCD who continually wash their hands are focused on keeping their hands germ free. There is an odd feature to this as in recent years there is more emphasis on keeping our hands clean and germ free. Suddenly, a lot more people are using hand sanitizer on a regular basis and what might have once been considered a move towards OCD is now the norm.
Yet there is still a big distinction between following proven health directives like sanitizing your hands, and washing them endlessly to avoid germs. Fear of germs hypnotherapy or mysophobia hypnosis is one of the best ways to deal with the dilemma when it is clear that a phobia is present. It is easier to cloak the obsessive nature of being germ free when everyone is washing their hands on an ongoing basis.
Fear of germs hypnotherapy takes you into the inner sanctum of your mind where your hypnotherapist can guide your subconscious mind to the realization that is it healthy to be clean but it is debilitating to go too far and wash your hands beyond what is necessary. Mysophobia hypnosis allows the therapist to guide you through the maze of being healthy as opposed to being inhibited by the overwhelming fear of germ.
By accessing the subconscious mind, a certified hypnotist can give powerful and positive suggestions that will enable the client to naturally and easily overcome this fear. In addition, the source or initial sensitizing event can be identified and cleared. The combination of suggestive therapy and the clearing of the initial limiting memory will allow the client to begin a new fear free chapter of their life.
If you or someone you know suffers from germaphobia, fear of germs hypnotherapy may be able to help. Seek out a hypnotist that specializes in phobia removal and has had success helping clients overcome bacteriophobia.

Agoraphobia Hypnosis
For agoraphobia, or fear of places where escape may not be possible, hypnosis is a wonderful treatment. Agoraphobia affects about 1 person in 20. Sometimes it is a temporary disorder and sometimes it grows into a complete fear of being in a crowd or a fear of being outside. This can grow to the point that the person cannot bring himself or herself to leave the comfort and security of their own home. For those who suffer with this phobia, a crowd could consist of a crowd as little as 3 or 4 people.
The most recent Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders defines the criteria for mental disorders. One of these disorders is agoraphobia which is an anxiety about being in places or situations that include being outside the home alone, in a crowd, standing in a line, traveling in a moving vehicle, or crossing a bridge. The agoraphobic avoids being in these situations at all costs.
Agoraphobia hypnotherapy does wonders with this challenge. This fear is most often rooted in the subconscious mind. The feelings of fright may be based on a past event and an irrational expectation that something bad will happen if the person goes out to a public place. However, the subconscious mind does not judge the fear; it is simply attempting to protect its host. In fact the subconscious mind does not distinguish between reality and imagination.
A certified hypnotist can help change the subconscious minds perspective of the event that is the root cause of the fear. In doing so, the fear can be eliminated easily and quickly. Since the initial sensitizing event has a limiting and negative effect on the client, it is essential that it is reframed by the hypnotherapist. Afterwards, suggestive therapy can be utilized to further assist the client.
Fear of open spaces hypnosis is a good example of how hypnosis can alter the subconscious mind. Somewhere, hiding in the psyche, there are fears and feelings that convince agoraphobics that there is danger lurking in open spaces. The body accepts this analysis and responds with the usual fear based reactions. Adrenalin starts pumping and all the attendant body reactions take place as if there was a real danger about to descend on the person.
If you have never experienced this fear, think about this scenario. You are walking along the sidewalk and look up to see a runaway truck heading straight for you. Imagine the sensations you might feel. You might experience dry mouth, heart pounding, and/or blind panic. Now imagine if you felt that way when you stepped into an open space. For the agoraphobic, the sensation is almost identical to what you might be subjected to as that truck is heading for you.
Agoraphobia hypnotherapy is the most effective way to get to the source of the problem. Your subconscious mind needs to be accessed so that the underlying sensations that feed into your fear are realigned. With the slower brain wave patterns induced by hypnosis, a good hypnotist can relax you and help transform the fear based memories in your mind into appropriate and less frightening beliefs.
This fear may be overcome in an hour or in a few sessions. However, the level of panic can be reduced during the first hypnosis session and even this small step forward can improve a client’s life. Each agoraphobia hypnosis session can move them closer and closer to freedom from fear of crowds and open spaces.

Social Phobia Hypnosis
Social phobia, also known as social anxiety disorder, is the biggest of all the phobias and the third largest mental health care issue. We’re talking globally here. That is how large a problem social anxiety is. On average, 7 percent of the population suffers social anxiety. Some are harder hit than others. Social phobia hypnosis is a prime treatment for the disorder. The chance of social phobia affecting you is about 13 percent over your lifetime.
This phobia can be debilitating. A person might be fully functioning and feeling great in every other way but the idea of attending a social gathering puts him or her in panic mode. There is a range of fears. For some the mere idea of being introduced to other people drives them into panic mode. For others, the social situation has to be more demanding such as having to give a speech before they panic.
No one likes to be criticized and few people like being watched while they work or talk on the phone and this can irritate most of us. This does not mean that we are necessarily suffering with a phobia. However, when you experience social fright, these possible interactions are enough to keep you from leaving the house.
When you are unable to interact with people, it can make you very lonely. People don’t get to know you and they view you as shy and unfriendly. This makes it difficult for you to have friends who can visit and socialize with you. Your fear of social situations is so pervasive that you spend a great deal of time alone.
For fear of social situations, social phobia hypnosis is the answer. Medication can alleviate some of the anxiety but there are side effects. In addition, it is not entirely effective because the point is not to mask and muffle the feelings of panic, but to remove the unhealthy pattern from your subconscious mind and replace them with healthy feelings about social situations.
Fear of social situations hypnotherapy helps to give a new perspective to the buried experiences and memories of the client’s subconscious mind that prompted the disorder in the first place. This in conjunction with suggestive therapy can allow the social phobia sufferer to move beyond the debilitating fear quickly and easily. The client emerges at the end of a successful therapy session relieved of anxiety and feeling far more confident and positive about life.

Fear of Thunder and Lightning Hypnosis
Astraphobia is a fear of thunder and lightning. Brontophobia is the name for fear of thunder. For a phobia to be recognized to the point of having a specific medical term for it, the phobia likely has an impact on a great number of people. Luckily fear of thunder hypnosis and fear of lightning hypnosis are similar in technique so if you fear either or both together, then the same hypnotherapy program will be effective. The symptoms of astraphobia include panic, terror, dread, rapid heartbeat, shortness of breath, anxiety and trembling.
There is an atavistic element in being afraid of storms. From the days of cave people, there was a good healthy understanding that the elements can kill people and that a storm can destroy your home, the vegetation around you, and negatively impact your surroundings. Even today, with all the technology the world has at its fingertips, severe weather can decimate towns and cities.
It is no surprise to find that astraphobia is the third most common phobia. It usually begins in childhood. Sometimes however, it may not emerge as a fear until adulthood. For late blooming astraphobia, the circumstances might be a little different. There have been instances of people being struck and killed by lightning. If this happened to someone near you, lightning could easily become a terrifying experience.
Because fear of thunder and lightning is a natural human condition for a child to experience, it does not begin as phobia. With a calm adult presence, the fear can be contained from the very beginning. Acknowledgement of the weather conditions and then distraction to a more pleasant activity is the ideal way to cope with lightning and thunder. However, if the adults are nervous about thunder and lightning, then the child will pick up on that fear and the seeds of the phobia are then planted.
It is difficult to separate out the two factors – the thunder and the lightning – so that the actual element that causes the fear is discernable. Since thunder is followed by lightning, usually within seconds, the fear that sets in could be for the thunder or it could be simply that the thunder is a precursor to lightning and the fear is just anticipation of the fear. Treatment for both thunder and lightning is the best approach.
Astraphobia is not diagnosed until it has been present for more than 6 months. The sooner treatment begins, the sooner the issue is resolved. Thunder hypnotherapy and Lightning hypnotherapy can access the subconscious and re-pattern the way a client responds. Using regression, the initial sensitizing event can be identified and the perception of that event can be changed. This in combination with suggestive therapy can remove the fear quickly and easily.
If you or someone you know has a fear of thunder and/or lightning, hypnosis might be best treatment option.

Fear of Spiders Hypnosis
Hypnosis is an extremely effective treatment for arachnophobia. If you suffer arachnophobia you already know what it is. For those who do not, arachnophobia is the fear of spiders. Hypnotherapy works wonders when it comes to phobias but with a specific phobia such as this one, it is very successful and usually helps the sufferer overcome the fear quite quickly.
While it is healthy to fear some spiders because they are deadly, a generic fear of spiders is unreasonable. If a spider cannot hurt you, why fear it? The deadly spiders are easily recognizable. And yet, some people go into panic mode at the very thought of spiders. It might not seem like a big deal to those who are fine with spiders but to a person with a spider phobia, this is anything but funny.
The overwhelming fear of spiders may come from the historic view of these tiny creatures. They were blamed for many illnesses including the Bubonic Plague (which was in the 1300’s). Even before that spiders were considered carriers of disease. With this kind of reputation being passed down over the centuries, it is not surprising that there is a natural apprehension about the 8-legged creatures.
With this general fear of spiders, a child may be preconditioned by his or her parents to fear spiders. If something happens and the parents overreact, the child picks up on this terror. Any number of things can happen that allow the early fear to become a full-blown phobia.
There are treatments such as systematic desensitization where a therapist will guide the person through a series of encounters with spiders until the person is able to accept spiders as harmless. Sometimes this may even involve a virtual reality of sorts, where the person can experience the feel of spiders walking on their arm or hand without being exposed to spiders.
While this may work, it is a stressful experience. Fear of spiders hypnotherapy can achieve positive results without the stress. It is no longer necessary for the client to have to struggle with desensitization when fear of spiders hypnotherapy is available.
In dealing with fear of spiders, hypnosis can work in an as little as an hour. With that said, one should expect results in on average 3 sessions. Because this is such a specific phobia, the hypnotist can guide you into the recesses of your mind and change your perception so that all the terror of spiders is removed. The early buried memories and beliefs about spiders will be reframed so that they no longer instill a paralyzing fear in your mind.
If you have a fear of bugs, you owe it to yourself to learn more about how fear of spiders hypnosis can help.

Overcome a Phobia With Hypnosis
Utilizing hypnosis it is possible to overcome a phobia or fear quickly and easily. For many people phobia hypnosis may be the only effective treatment. While phobia hypnotherapy is extremely effective, it does require 2-4 sessions to identify the initial sensitizing event and to help the client overcome it.
Phobias tend to result from three main life events or experiences. They include trauma, parental impact on childhood, or observing something terrifying. These factors can cover a very wide range of experiences. The hardest phobias to overcome are those hidden beneath layers of subconscious memories. The trigger for the phobia might be difficult to determine using conventional therapy, but it is a relatively simple area to pinpoint when utilizing anxiety hypnotherapy.
Various triggers can set off your fear, but your reaction in some instances can be delayed so that you react to something else entirely. Often times, clients are surprised to discover what the actual sensitizing event is, because at face value it does not seem to have a direct connection to the fear. There is always a connection but it may not be apparent initially.
This is where hypnosis comes in handy as a treatment for phobias. Hypnosis can take you past the critical thinking part of your mind into the subconscious. Every memory you ever had is stored in this part of your mind.
Some of the memories might be dream memories or suppressed memories. People are quick to point out that a phobia does not make sense or that it is illogical. However, it does make sense at the subconscious level. The subconscious mind is actually trying to protect its host. When hypnosis taps into your subconscious mind; the sensitizing event can be identified and reframed.
Hypnosis can manipulate memories so that the trauma attached to them is moved into the light of day. This allows the client to come to terms with it. Utilizing hypnosis, clients can learn to overcome fears and phobias. About 3.7 percent of the population is clinically diagnosed with a phobia. The root cause of the fear likely stems from a childhood experience. This experience must be reframed so that the subconscious mind understands that the flight response is no longer necessary.
Unfortunately some fears can negatively impact your life. For some people the phobias are paralyzing. For others they manifest themselves in anxiety. Left untreated the anxiety can blossom into a full-blown phobia. Anxiety hypnosis is a powerful tool for introducing positive and life changing suggestions into the subconscious.
Anxiety hypnotherapy can offer immediate relief from the debilitating terrors that control your life. Your anxiety and phobias can be overcome relatively quickly. In fact, hypnosis has been known to help clients overcome fears in as little as one session. Bear in mind however, that the average number of anxiety hypnosis sessions required to overcome a fear is probably closer to three sessions.
If someone you know suffers from a phobia, it may be beneficial for them to consider phobia hypnotherapy as a solution. It is always a good idea to seek out a certified hypnotist who specializes in helping people overcome debilitating fears.
